EBOOK - Modern Diesel Technology Preventive Maintenance and Inspection (John Dixon)

The goal for writing this textbook is to give entrylevel truck technicians a solid foundation in the area of preventive maintenance. The book starts with general shop safety, hand tools, and fasteners. This is basic knowledge that must be mastered before a technician ever gets to the shop floor. The remaining chapters provide detailed preventive maintenance procedures for specific areas of the vehicle. These chapters contained brief explanations of how the component operates. My beliefs are that if a technician understands how something is supposed to function, he or she will have a greater ability to identify potential problems and have the opportunity.
